Colors attract everyone
and SynapseIndians were completely immersed in the great spirits of
Holi- the festival of colors. Holi celebration at SynapseIndia filled
all employees with enthusiasm and elation. Everyone, even those who
never played Holi in their life and the girls who were never too keen
to get colored, were seen splashing colors on their peers.
Some
recalled the fond memories their childhood, while others had a great
experience playing with colors for the first time in their lives. All
were so much in the mood to celebrate the festival that they even
forgot that it was getting late evening and they needed to go home as
well. Hence, the human resource executives came forward and advised
all of the employees to go home soon.
After having fun and
celebrating Holi at office with their colleagues, SynapseIndians left
for their homes. Many employees were quite enthusiastic about going
back to their hometown and celebrating the festival with their loved
ones. The fun and joy of Holi celebration at SynapseIndia multiplied
because of the yummy and mouthwatering Holi special food, including
the delicious gujiyas. All in all; it was a day full of fun and
colors all around.
The great legend behind
Holi
Once upon a time, there
used to live a king named Hiranyakashyapa whose son Prahlada was a
great devotee of Lord Vishnu. On the other hand, Hiranyakashyapa was
totally against any worship or prayer to the Lord. Despite multiple
insistence from his father, Prahlada did not obey his father. Then,
one day, Hiranyakashyapa's sister Holika came and took Prahlada with
her.
She sat on pyre with Prahlada in her lap with the bad intention
of killing him by burning alive. But, Lord Vishnu saved his devotee
and, quite surprisingly, Holika was burned down and Prahlada remained
completely safe from fire. Since then, the festival of Holi is
celebrated to recall the victory of good over evil.
